Gillian Moore
Year 4 Teacher
Gillian Moore is pleased to welcome in her third year at Dulwich College Beijing and is delighted to continue working with a highly successful Year 4 team. She is proud to celebrate twelve years of service in the teaching profession.
Ms Moore majored in Biosciences from Cardiff University with a specialism in Environmental Science. She is particularly comfortable teaching science-related topics, having wide background knowledge in this area. Additionally, Ms Moore is an especially skilled Teacher of English as a Second Language, demonstrated by various experiences abroad and through gaining CELTA, ESOL and EAP qualifications. She has worked in the U.K., Spain, Japan and currently, China.
A poignant highlight of her career thus far was teaching essential English skills to refugees, who were from areas of conflict, to support them to live in relative safety in the United Kingdom. She places high value on the well-being of her students and states that building mutual trust and confidence between teacher and student is of the utmost importance.
In her free-time, Ms Moore enjoys learning Mandarin, reading and when possible, travelling around China.
