Keith is a graduate of the University of Dundee, gaining an MA in Contemporary European Studies and Modern History. He then spent 15 years working in the Compliance and Risk function of financial services companies including Scottish Widows, Standard Life and the UK financial regulator in Edinburgh and London. In between times, Keith was also a candidate in local, Scottish and UK-wide elections on numerous occasions before being elected in 2007 to his local council, where he served for five years. In 2011, he switched career to teaching, gaining a PGDE from the University of Strathclyde before teaching for three years in schools around Perthshire, Scotland. For the last two years he has been teaching Geography and History in Cairo, Egypt, before moving with his family to Beijing. Keith is looking forward to joining a strong Humanities and Geography team at DCB, and to seeing the sights and tasting the tastes of China!
