Rachel Garcia

Head of University and Careers Counselling

Mrs Garcia graduated from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (Colorado, USA) with a Master’s degree in educational leadership. She intended to work in university student services such as academic advising, however, she soon found herself enjoying her job on the high school “side of the desk” in a high school counseling office, assisting students with the college admissions process in the U.S. After a few years working at a U.S. high school helping highly motivated students to apply to university, Mrs Garcia moved to Suzhou, China where she remained for the next few years assisting graduating students with their university applications all over the world, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and others. Mrs Garcia's approach to university counseling is to communicate early and often so that both students and parents have the information they need to make the best application possible. In her spare time, she enjoys dance fitness, baking, and exploring different restaurants and coffee shops around Beijing.
