Dulwich College Beijing was delighted to welcome a most distinguished guest last week. Mr Andrew McCully, OBE, Director General of Early Years and Schools from the UK Department for Education, was on a visit to Shanghai and Beijing. As part of his trip, he observed how a leading British school is successfully delivering education overseas.

Accompanied by Ms Nishat Ali from the British Council and Ms Wang Xiaojing from the Department for International Trade, Mr McCully enjoyed a tour of the campus and was impressed by our facilities and the positive learning environment. As he arrived on World Kindness Day, Mr McCully was happy to sign the Kindness Wall in the Main Atrium.

DCB Headmaster, Mr Simon Herbert, said, 'What a pleasure it was to receive such an esteemed educationalist to Dulwich College Beijing. We spoke on many themes, particularly our links to Dulwich College in London, and the power of being in a network of Dulwich international schools. Mr McCully asked incisive questions on the benefits of working in the fascinating city of Beijing and was impressed by our many local and international collaborations.'
