Dr Cameron Pyke Appointed Permanent Head of College at Dulwich College Beijing
Dulwich College Beijing is pleased to announce the permanent appointment of Dr Cameron Pyke as Head of College, following a period of outstanding interim leadership. Dr Pyke’s appointment marks an important milestone in the College's continued growth and development, and reflects the enduring relationship between our international network and Dulwich College in London.
Dr Pyke's evident love for the College, his deep commitment to the whole community and the strong relationships he has forged with students, staff and parents, make him exceptionally well placed to lead Dulwich College Beijing into its next chapter. We are grateful to Dr Pyke for his commitment to the EiM family of schools and are confident that this leadership appointment best serves the Dulwich College Beijing community and EiM as a whole. Since joining Dulwich College Beijing, Dr Pyke has overseen key initiatives enhancing the College's academic excellence, pastoral care and student engagement. Under his leadership, the school has strengthened its innovative curriculum offerings, reinforced its international ethos, and continued to achieve top-level academic results in China, further establishing Dulwich College Beijing as a leading international school.
In a personal message to the College, Dr Pyke shared his vision and commitment:
'You can imagine that I feel both joy and humility about our journey ahead. On a personal as well as a professional note, may I thank each of you for your kindness and support for me as I lead this community and everything you do for your children. My wife Tamsin, my daughters Cecilia and Theodora, and I are deeply grateful.
There will be opportunities for us to further define that journey together next term, but in the meantime I say that my vision for Dulwich College Beijing is essentially a simple one: a school which aspires to excellence, joy and kindness in everything it does, every day; a school which knows every girl and boy in our care and cares deeply for them; a school which works in true partnership with our parents and our local community; a school which celebrates both our innate internationalism and the great privilege of being in China; a school which leverages to the full our unique link with colleagues in Dulwich College in London and in Education in Motion; and a school which is a powerhouse of creativity, innovation and student achievement.
Thank you again for your support and kindness and for everything you do to support us in achieving this vision. The next five years will, I believe, be a very special time for our great school.'
Dr Pyke's appointment reflects Dulwich College Beijing's ongoing commitment to nurturing well-rounded students who thrive academically, socially and culturally. Parents are warmly invited to meet Dr Pyke through a variety of parent–school engagement opportunities, including the College’s Friday Coffee Mornings, Parent Connect Forums, and community celebrations throughout the year.
