The IGCSE, or the International General Certificate of Secondary Education, is a challenging academic program based on the British GCSE, tailored for a multicultural and multilingual audience. Like students in British schools, IGCSE students take external exams at the end of Year 11 (equivalent to Grade 10 in the American system). These exams provide an objective measure of academic progress, enabling parents—regardless of their familiarity with educational practices—to effectively monitor the quality of their child’s education.

We had 843 entries in the 2023-2024 IGCSE examinations and, as we had proudly shared, our students achieved an impressive average grade of A, along with an outstanding 67% of those grades A*/A.

In addition to these achievements, DCB is thrilled to share some more remarkable accomplishments:

Ariel W

Ariel W was recognised with the Top in China award for the Cambridge IGCSE First Language English

Yifei L

Yifei L received the Best in China award for IGCSE French in the Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards
