Teddy Bear Gymnastics: A Day of Thrills and Tumbles at DCB
Excitement filled the air as Dulwich College Beijing (DCB) DUCKS recently hosted its much-anticipated Teddy Bear Gymnastics event. This year's event boasted an adapted format that welcomed parent helpers into the mix, adding an extra layer of community involvement. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Teddy Bears Picnic lunch, which brought smiles to the faces of both children and adults alike.
Tracey Francis, Head of DUCKS, shared how the children were "bouncing with excitement all day" and were fully immersed in their House Spirit. The event not only provided a platform for physical activity and fun but also served as an opportunity to nurture our students' physical skills and have fun while at it. Ms Francis shared, “It was a wonderful experience that allowed us to come together as a community and for the children to embody our DCB values to the fullest.”
In her heartfelt message, Ms Francis extended her gratitude to everyone involved, from the dedicated parent helpers to the DCB staff members who worked tirelessly to make the event a success. Special recognition was given to Mr William Zhang, the newly appointed Head of Houses for the DUCKS, for his invaluable contribution to the event's organisation and execution.
The Teddy Bear Gymnastics event truly encapsulated the spirit of camaraderie, teamwork, and joy that defines the DCB community. As the children revelled in the day's festivities, they embodied the school's values to the fullest, leaving a lasting impression on all who participated.
