Love Beijing? Take a Look at Year 12 Photography
On two fine days in September, Year 12 IB Art students went into the heart of Beijing to expand upon their photography skills. On the first day, students took the Second Ring Road with nothing more than their backpack, camera and an artful eye. Everyone was able to explore the Zuojiazhuang district, Lama Temple, Drum Tower and hutongs. Some of this exploration took us into a few interesting markets and community gatherings. Students had a great time capturing all the people, architecture and foods that go with this culture-rich city. On the second day, everyone ventured down to the 798 Art District and visited a wonderful exhibition on ancient Japanese woodblock printing. It was a wonderful trip and experience for all students and staff involved.
Come to DCB's Main Atrium to check out the results of the photography trip – you'll appreciate Beijing through Year 12's observant lenses. The exhibition is on until 22 November.
