Early Years Open Day

At the Open House, you will meet with our Head of Early Years, Mr David Mumford, who will give a presentation on ‘Early Years in Action–a UK curriculum designed for the hands, hearts and minds of international young learners’. A campus tour and Q&A session will be held after the presentation.

IB Final Art Exhibition

Date: 23 March – 26 April 2018

Venue: Atrium

DCB's senior school art department is proud to present our IB art exhibition 2018.  The exhibition comprises artwork created as a result of our talented students' IB art course.  Students are responsible for self directing their learning and producing thematically linked artworks in a range of techniques as part of their qualification.  These include ceramics, textile, oil painting, digital drawing, mixed media, photography and film.  Students were responsible for curating their exhibitions to best showcase their work.  You can also scan QR codes next to the students' exhibition spaces to hear them talk about their artwork.  We hope you find time to visit the show and enjoy the outstanding work.  

Chamber Music Afternoon Tea Concert

Date: 13 April 2018

Time: 4:00-5:30pm

Venue: Wodehouse Theatre

Tickets: 100rmb (includes afternoon tea served at 4pm. Concert starts at 4:30pm)

Featuring the students of Chamber Orchestra, come and enjoy an afternoon of tea and chamber music. Students from Y8 to Y13 will be performing works by Haydn, Beethoven, Dvorak, Mendelssohn and more. Afternoon tea (sandwiches, cakes and tea/coffee) are included in the ticket price.

Sounds of Spring Concert

Date: 18 April 2018

Time: 7:00-8:30pm

Venue: Wodehouse Theatre

Sounds of Spring is a showcase of the fantastic work done by our Junior School music ensembles through the school year. Our two instrumental ensembles, Junior Strings and Junior Band, will delight with a range of pieces from film and TV, as well as some pop and rock classics, whilst our Junior Choir and Junior Honours' Choir will transport the audience around the world by singing songs in a range of languages. We will also have solo performances from selected Year 6 students as well as the winner of the 2018 KS2 Young Musician of the Year competition. The concert culminates in a spectacular finale as the choirs and instrumental ensembles join forces to play the finale of Beethoven's Symphony Number 9 (Ode to Joy).

Founder's Day

Founder's Day is a celebration of who we are as a community and everything we value as a school. It is DCB's biggest community event of the year. Everybody is welcome to join this great day of FUN!
