Head of Junior School
Daniel joined DCB in 2013 as Deputy Head of Junior School and has been a part of the Dulwich family ever since. In 2018, he became the Head of Junior School and is very much enjoying this role and challenge within an amazing school and community. Daniel grew up in the historic town of Lancaster, and he didn’t go to university too far away—just up the road in the stunning Lake District, where he studied for his BA (Hons) in Primary Education. In the UK, Daniel worked at two different schools, teaching Year 5 and 6 students over four years. He has also completed a year in South Africa as a voluntary English teacher at a local rural farm school, not far from Kruger National Park. Daniel’s international teaching journey began properly back in 2010, where he took up his first overseas teaching post in Cairo, Egypt. Daniel spent three years there as the Year 6 Team Leader before taking up his post here at Dulwich College Beijing. He is currently working towards his Master’s in Education with University of Bath, United Kingdom. Outside of teaching, Daniel likes to spend his time exploring new and exciting places with his wife and son.
