Junior School EAL Teacher
Gillian, from South Wales in the United Kingdom, originally qualified with a science degree from Cardiff University in 2007. Shortly after, she soon rekindled a passion for learning foreign languages, and this eventually led her to find her vocation in teaching English as an Additional Language. She obtained her PGCE (ESOL) teaching qualification, and this provided her teaching experiences in the UK, Spain, Japan and now, China. She is an experienced teacher and is particularly proud of her experience in helping child refugees learn English while in the UK. Her secondary interests lie in helping children with additional learning needs and with emotional literacy skills. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, reading psychology books, and studying Spanish and Chinese!
