Senior School Head of Individuals and Societies
Melanie is from Devon in the UK and studied Modern History at Oxford University. After this, she travelled to Kishinev in Moldova to teach English, and upon her return, decided that teaching was the right career for her. Subsequently, she completed her PGCE at Exeter University and then taught history at Blundell's School for three years. After that, she moved to Tonbridge School in Kent, where she later became Head of History. Melanie is in Beijing with her husband and two of their three daughters. As a family, they enjoy travelling and meeting new people, as well as sailing, skiing and hiking.
