Josie started her career in teaching back in 1999 after graduating from Liverpool John Moores University and travelling to South America, where she taught ESL. Later she taught ESL in Taiwan and then returned to the UK to pursue a master’s in Online Journalism. After working as a digital journalist for seven years in the UK, and getting married and having two children, Josie moved with her family to Doha, where they lived for eight years. During that time, Josie made the move from freelance journalism into ESL teaching and EAL support, before gaining her PGCE and taking on the role of Year 2 teacher. She is a huge fan of the great outdoors and of the arts and drama and is a regular yoga practitioner.
