Richard completed an BA Honours degree in Philosophy and Theology with a teaching specialism before owning and operating his own businesses in Ireland. Combining his love of teaching and travel through a PGCE and an ICELT, he has worked in all areas of primary as an international homeroom teacher and Head of EAL. Richard joined us from neighbouring Tianjin where he held the position of Assistant Head of School (Academics) and Head of Assessment, Recording and Reporting, while teaching Years 3 and 6. He is a qualified dive master, enjoys trekking, running and swimming, and spending free time with his family. He is currently pursuing an MA in Educational Leadership and Management with the University of Nottingham. Richard is a strong advocate for student voice in the classroom and enjoys facilitating student-led inquiry-based learning.
