In 2006, Tracie graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in England, having obtained a BA (Hons) in English. A year later, she gained her Key Stage 2-3 PGCE at Homerton College, University of Cambridge, with a specialism in English. Tracie began her career teaching English at a middle school in Suffolk and later taught upper primary school age groups. In 2013, Tracie and her husband took the plunge and decided to teach abroad! Their first international teaching post was in Bali, where they taught English as a second language. They then travelled to Singapore to teach English Enrichment and their most recent posts before Dulwich College Beijing was in Malaysia, at the world’s first certified Visible Learning international school. Tracie is passionate about English and, in addition to being a Year 5 teacher, was a writing facilitator in her previous school. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and soaking up new cultures. She can often be found with her nose in a book, enjoying a cup of tea in a cosy cafe.
