Heather Chimbani

Ms Chimbani graduated from The University of Winchester with a BA Honours degree in Primary Education, focusing specifically on subjects Early Years and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Throughout her time at college and university, she worked in a variety of nursery settings and as a registered nanny, whilst continuing to manage a play scheme, at weekends and during the summer, for children with special needs and disabilities. Whilst completing her studies, she then went on to work as a one-to-one carer, providing care for young adults who have been diagnosed with autism. She has seventeen years of extensive experience working with children through voluntary and paid employment. She has taught in mainstream, inclusive schools, as a Speech and Language teacher in a specialist unit and international schools in Tanzania, Malaysia, and China, teaching Early Years, Key Stage One and as an Inclusion Lead.
