Jennifer Roy
Senior School Teacher of English
Ms Roy has been teaching English in secondary schools and at the college level for over 25 years. She received two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Arizona, her Masters from the State University of New York, did post-graduate work toward her Ed. D. at Columbia University's Teachers College and earned a certificate in school leadership from Harvard. A US Citizen, she has lived in Illinois, Arizona, and New York. While in New York, she designed and taught writing courses at Marist College for students who were seeking their MBAs. She is an avid reader, especially of memoir, poetry, and magical realism; an art lover, predominantly street art and ‘outsider’ art/art Brute; and an ever-curious traveler, fascinated by the daily life, history, and architecture of new people and places. She infuses her classroom with these passions and hopes to help students broaden their perspectives on the world through exploration and discovery.
