Luc Spettel
Teacher of History
Luc Spettel is a passionate history teacher originally from Geneva, Switzerland, where he did his PGCE with University of Durham and joining Dulwich College Beijing from Shanghai, where he was the Head of History for five years.
His university degree was in History at University of Sussex and he went into teaching after completing compulsory national service in Switzerland. He is now into his 10th year of international education, having worked in Germany and China, with experience at both middle and high school in the IB DP, IGCSE, Key Stage 3, and currently training in the IB MYP.
As a history buff, he really enjoys immersing himself in a book or exploring whenever he can some of the stunning historical sites and beautiful natural landscapes while travelling. He is also into skiing and outdoor summer activities like hiking and cycling with a love for the mountains and nature.
