Mark Elshout
Mr Elshout is from a city near Melbourne, Australia. He holds a Master in Music Studies from Melbourne University, a Bachelor of Education from Deakin University, a Bachelor of Music Performance from Melbourne University and an Associate Diploma of Orchestral Trumpet from the Australian Music Education Board. He is an Examiner and Program Leader for the International Baccalaureate. He has just completed 5 years at Keystone Academy, Beijing, as the Head of Performing Arts. Before arriving in Beijing, he was the Head of Bands in Osaka, Japan at a school called Senri Osaka International School. Prior to this, he worked for Geelong Grammar School in Australia, which is a boarding school in the English Private school tradition and has many famous alumni including Prince Charles. In his spare time, he enjoys playing jazz and rock with bands around Beijing's nightspots. He is also heavily into photography, movie making and SCUBA diving.
