Robert Simmons
Junior School Social and Emotional Counsellor
Robert Simmons is from the United States, where he has been an Elementary School Counselor for six years. Mr. Simmons received a M.S. in School Counseling in 2017. In 2019 he received his Post-Master Certificate in Clinical Mental Health from Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Simmons has experience working with international students as an Academic Counselor for Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth for the last four years. He was a nominee for the 2020 School Counselor of the Year award. Mr. Simmons's philosophy is that the relationship teachers build with their students is the number one recipe for academic success.
In his free time, Mr. Simmons loves to play Pokémon Go, visit zoos and aquariums, and has started to learn the game of squash. With his experience in creating and implementing social-emotional learning curriculums and applying them to many different populations.
