Barry Aherne
Teacher of English as an Additional Language (EAL)
Barry Aherne has been teaching for over 10 years. Mr Aherne has a B.A in English and Geography, a Higher Diplomacy in Education (English/Geography), a Master's degree in Contemporary Migration and Diaspora Studies, and CELTA.
Prior to joining Dulwich College Beijing, Mr Aherne taught English language acquisition to PYP and MYP students at an international school in Qingdao. In his native country Ireland, Mr Aherne taught English language to secondary school schools and adults, preparing them for exams such as Cambridge, IELTS, and TOEIC.
In his free time, Mr Aherne enjoys weightlifting, watching football, studying the stock market, and playing narrative-driven video games.
