Lu Chen
Head of Senior School Chinese
Lu Chen completed her Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature from Beijing Normal University and her MA in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from The College of New Jersey, with a teaching qualification in Chinese and Literature from the Education Commission(教委).
She joined Dulwich College Beijing Senior School in 2008, bringing years of experience teaching in both international and public schools. As an experienced international education teacher and the head of the department, Lu Chen has taught students from diverse backgrounds, including those learning Chinese as a foreign language or as a second language, as well as those pursuing the IB Chinese A Language and Literature.
With a deep understanding of students' learning pathways and a comprehensive knowledge of DCB curricula, she eagerly shares her expertise and supports fellow Chinese language educators. Additionally, Ms Chen is well-versed in utilising digital teaching tools and advocates for integrating the latest technology into language learning in the classroom.
Beyond her teaching role, she has a keen interest in traveling and reading.
