DCB IBDP Visual Art Exhibition 2024: The Gloaming
Congratulations to our Class of 2024, IBDP Art students, on their thought-provoking exhibition!
On 22 March 2024, the culmination of two years of hard work by our Class of 2024 International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Art students was realised in The Gloaming, their final exhibition showcasing each student's unique interpretation of twilight, dusk, and transitional moments. This exhibition is one of three key components that form the IB Visual Arts assessment, with final results released in July followed by a remarking process available for those who opt for it.
Our students employed a wide range of media, materials, techniques, and processes to convey their intentions through artworks that reflected their messages across various forms. These diverse perspectives and artistic expressions were conveyed using a range of mediums, from painting and sculpture to photography, video, and installation art, creating a multi-sensory experience that invited viewers to contemplate the evocative theme.
Below are snapshots of our students’ works and of the art exhibition held at our atrium:
Congratulations to Sherri L, Elise S, Yolanda Z, Iris S, Claire W, Ellie K, Emily Z and Alice X on their fantastic exhibition. A big thank you to their families, as well as our Senior School art team, teachers, and staff for making the event possible.
