More Matriculations from the Class of 2023
As the members of the Class of 2023 settle into their first semester at university, we want to celebrate their success. As of 12 December, that group matriculated at universities in several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Canada. The universities they attend are varied and reflect the diversity of interest among our students and include the most respected institutions in the world. Some chose to attend top-ranked research universities such as Columbia University, the University of California, Los Angeles, Imperial College London, the University of Cambridge, the University of British Columbia or the National University of Singapore. Others chose liberal arts colleges such as Swarthmore College or Wellesley College in the United States. Others chose to study Music at the Berklee College of Music, or Visual Arts at the Parson's School of Design or the University of the Arts London. Meanwhile, other students are taking a gap year or completing national service in their home countries.
Whatever path our students choose, we support them in finding the route that is best for them and applaud their success. DCB follows a "best fit” model of advising, which means we encourage each student to explore their own interests and develop a list of universities they wish to apply to based on their own academic profile and personal goals. We also encourage students to thoroughly research the universities on their lists, going beyond commercial rankings and brand names to understand how each application fits their needs and interests. That said, our students successfully apply to the top universities in the world, in part because they know why these schools are a good fit for them and can communicate that in their applications.
