Professional learning to enhance the student learning experience
Dulwich College Beijing (DCB) organized a professional development day before the spring break for staff to learn from educational experts and each other.
The College believes an exemplary school is a dynamic learning environment for all its students and Staff. We further believe that good teaching makes a difference in student learning and that the best teachers continually strive to grow their teaching practices through reflection and collaboration with their colleagues.
DCB is committed to the continuation of professional learning, and as such, teachers are involved in a programme of ongoing professional development throughout the year.
Besides these learning opportunities on a few student-free days, teachers have access to a range of other professional learning opportunities when they can learn from one another by sharing feedback, strategies and best practices, both within the College and across the group’s family of schools. Additionally, we create opportunities to work with experts across the globe to offer a wide range of partnerships, research and thought leadership.
All of our professional learning is linked back to student learning, and it is focused on improving the learning that takes place each day. By living up to our mission of Live Worldwise, our teachers embrace the concept of lifelong learning… because learning never stops!
