Clare Higgins
DUCKS AEN Teacher
Clare Higgins holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the UK, specialising in English and Early Years Education. With over thirty years of experience teaching within the Early Years and Key Stage 1 age groups, she has had a diverse and enriching career. In 2017, she joined DUCKS at Dulwich College Shanghai, following some time at Wellington College in Tianjin. Together with her decade-long experience at The British International School in Cairo, Egypt, she has gained valuable experience and insights into teaching second language learners. Throughout her teaching career, she has used her experiences as both an educator and a mother to lead workshops for parents on various topics, including behaviour management and the significance of play in learning. She is a proud mother of four grown children and also finds delight in being a grandmother. Her travels throughout China have deepened her appreciation for Chinese culture. While in Shanghai, she pursued studies in Taiji, Yoga, and sound therapy. In addition to her professional pursuits, she enjoys exploring nature, hiking, and indulging in music and theatre.
