N Cadman
Junior School Art Teacher
Mr Cadman joins Dulwich College Beijing with over 19 years of experience in the arts, including eight years as a teacher and 11 years as an Arts Development Officer in the UK. He holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design specialising in Printmaking from the University of Wales and a PGCE in Art & Design from the University of Brighton.
Mr Cadman has taught internationally in Ningbo, China, and Bangkok, Thailand, developing a global perspective on arts education. In the classroom, he is passionate about fostering creativity, critical thinking, and confidence in every student. He is eager to share his wider artistic interests—such as 3D construction, printmaking, collaborative projects, STEAM integration, and emerging technologies like AI—through both lessons and the College’s Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme.
Before moving to Asia, Mr Cadman's work in the UK involved leading large community arts programmes, organising public art festivals, and developing creative projects that brought together artists, young people, and local communities. This included street art exhibitions, youth-led cultural initiatives, and transforming unused spaces into vibrant creative hubs. He also helped establish a youth arts organisation that became a platform for young people to develop their talents and showcase their work to the public. In his teaching career, Mr Cadman has also specialised in delivering STEAM Week events, blending art, science, and technology in exciting, hands-on ways.
Mr Cadman looks forward to contributing to Dulwich College Beijing’s vibrant arts community, inspiring students to see art not only as a school subject but as a powerful way to explore ideas, connect with others, and make a positive impact in the world.
