P Conte
Senior School Teacher of Music/TOK
Ms Conte completed her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Management after completing a PGCE and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. She currently serves as a Music teacher for both the Junior and Senior Schools, as well as a Theory of Knowledge (TOK) teacher for Key Stage 5 students.
With a robust background in classical music, Ms Conte has cultivated a deep understanding of performance, theory, and pedagogy. She has also served as a Music examiner for various examination boards and has extensive experience as a conductor of choirs, concert bands, and string ensembles. In addition to her classical training, Ms Conte specialises in ethnomusicology, with a particular focus on Samba ensembles, West African drumming, and other world music traditions. Following three years of teaching internationally in South America, she moved to the United Arab Emirates and taught at international schools in the region for 16 years. She has been an active member of music festivals and community orchestras in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. As a passionate and experienced educator, Ms Conte integrates her cross-disciplinary expertise to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and global awareness in her students.
