Phi Nguyen
Senior School Teacher of Business and Economics
Mr Nguyen has a BA hons degree in International Business. He finished his CELTA course and taught English in Taiwan for a year. Following there he spent a year as a credit controller in an NHS recruitment firm where he learned to monitor purchase and sales ledgers including chasing aged debt books and allocating doctor payments. After spending a year in the field of finance, he decided to do his PGCE at UCL IOE where he taught Business, Financial Studies and Economics at Woolwich Polytechnic London. Then he spent 2 years at the British School of Bahrain as the lead teacher of Economics and BTEC coordinator for business studies. Furthermore, he managed the senior school football team and year 10 enterprise event with all proceeds raised for charity. He also spent 4 years at the British School of Guangzhou where as the curriculum lead for economics A level and GCSE, head of house for over 150 students. He led school trips, organised an entrepreneurial event for students and helped raise money for cancer by doing a sponsored head-shaving event. Mr Nguyen is an avid football fan and keens on fitness. In his spare time, he loves to read about finance and investment.
