Junior School Social and Emotional Counsellor
Mr Simmons is from the United States, where he has been an Elementary School counsellor for six years. Mr Simmons received an M.S. in School Counselling in 2017. In 2019, he received his Post-Master Certificate in Clinical Mental Health from Johns Hopkins University. Mr Simmons has experience working with international students as an Academic Counsellor for Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth for the last four years. He was a nominee for the 2020 School Counsellor of the Year award. Mr. Simmons' philosophy is that the relationship teachers build with their students is the number one recipe for academic success.
In his free time, Mr Simmons loves to play Pokémon Go, visit zoos and aquariums, and has started to learn the game of squash. He is experienced in creating and implementing social-emotional learning curricula and applying them to many different populations.
