Sarah O'Rourke
Senior School Teacher of English
Sarah is a British national who began her teaching career in the UK, working as a high school English language and literature teacher in Manchester. She has a degree in English from the University of Leicester, before pursuing both her PGCE and Master’s in Education at the University of Manchester. In 2017, she relocated to China where she taught English at Dulwich International High School Suzhou, before moving to Dulwich College Beijing in 2021 where she is now the Assistant Head of English. Sarah is passionate about reading for pleasure (as you might expect from an English teacher!) and her favourite genre to read is fantasy – anything with dragons. She’s also been learning Chinese since she first moved to China and hopes to pass her HSK 4 exam soon.
