George Ozemoya
Senior School Teacher of Mathematics
George Ozemoya holds a BSc in chemical engineering and a post-graduate diploma in computing from London Metropolitan University. Prior to his career in education, he worked in the banking industry in London. In 2005, he moved to Birmingham to commence his teacher training. Mr Ozemoya's decision to become a teacher was influenced by a particular secondary mathematics teacher, who inspired him to reach for his potential through his fun and engaging teaching methods. With nine years of teaching experience in the UK across three secondary schools, Mr Ozemoya decided to explore international teaching in 2014. He was appointed as the head of mathematics at an international school in Kampala, Uganda, where he spent four years honing his skills. In August 2018, he joined a prestigious international school in Guangzhou, China, initially as a mathematics teacher and later taking on the role of Head of Year. Outside of work, Mr Ozemoya finds enjoyment in traveling and exploring different cultures and cuisines.
